Advanced degrees: MSW 1968 Columbia University, Certificate in Family Therapy Ackerman Institute.
Career/occupation:
Psychotherapist. I have had a large private practice over many years in which I
have seen individuals, couples and families and continue to work on a project
at the Ackerman Institute where I trained.
This past year, I have added some pro bono work to my schedule.
Important affiliations: Ackerman Institute for the Family.
Marital status: Recently Divorced.
Spouse: Francis Booth.
Children: Eliza Booth Paolucci, Olivia Booth.
Grandchildren: Anna, Ella and Jemma Paolucci, Victor Wigutow.
Outstanding Cornell memory: Walking home at night from the library over the suspension bridge after a heavy snowfall with friends and being dazzled by the beauty and quiet - and romance - of the surroundings.
How has your life differed from what you expected? My life has not veered far from the course I would have expected in that I have remained in New York, raised a family, and developed a career and, happily, a large circle of friends.
Personal reflections: Aside from the great joy of seeing my daughters – and now their children – grow and develop, and having had a fulfilling career, it has been my enduring friendships with women, many of them Cornell friends, that has been of enormous sustenance and pleasure throughout my life. It seems crucial at this age that we not dwell on roads not taken but honor and rejoice in the good choices we have made.
