GARRETT CODRINGTON

 

 CODRINGTON--Garrett Rix, passed away on November 10, 2018, at his home in Chester, NJ. He was 79. Marked by a lively intellect, sense of humor and forceful personality, he was a proud Cornellian, Sigma Phi brother and Marine Corps officer who enjoyed a 50-year career in the engineering construction business. A reader of history, lover of travel, frustrated golfer and latter-day gardener, Garrett's most significant achievement was his 53-year marriage to his Swedish bride Kerstin, who passed away in 2015. He is survived by his brother Chris, son Erik, daughter-in-law Tracey, daughter Andrea, son-in-law Ira and grandchildren Victoria, Rye and Soren. He will be missed by family and friends around the world.

CODRINGTON--Kerstin Margareta, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2015 at her home in Chester, NJ. She was 76. Born in Sundsvall, Sweden to Nils Westman and Margit Lidgren, she attended Uppsala University in Sweden and Cornell University, before marrying Garrett Codrington in 1962. Kerstin belonged to SVEA, Swedish Women's Club, Creative Living Bible Study and avidly pursued the decorative arts personally and professionally. Her family and friends will remember her intelligence, sense of humor, beauty and radiant smile. She is survived by her husband Garrett, children; Erik Codrington and Andrea Lippke, her grandchildren; Victoria Codrington, Rye Lippke and Soren Lippke, and her brother and sister Staffan and Karin Hedlund.
